Jonathan Neufeld
Certified Interventionist
Drug & Alcohol Treatment Specialist
Jonathan Neufeld is a Certified Interventionist, who, with both his own experience of personal recovery from addiction and as an addictions professional, knows what is effective when dealing with addiction. He employs a client centered approach to helping others because Jonathan knows that each family system and each addicted individual are unique. As such, Jonathan collaborates with the family and plans each intervention as a part of a continuum of care, not as a singular event. Jonathan’s approach, from supporting the family in preparation for the intervention, facilitating the addicted individual’s entry into the appropriate level of care (as indicated by the severity of their addiction), case managing their recovery journey and the continued support of the family on an ongoing basis, is designed to ensure the best possible outcomes for all parties.
Jonathan’s experience in the addiction recovery field has spanned the last 14 years. He began his career in 2007 as a front-line support worker at Together We Can, Canada’s largest recovery centre for men. Since that time Jonathan has worked in varied settings with diverse populations. After spending four years at Harbourlight’s shelter and detox program in the Downtown eastside of Vancouver, with the most marginalized individuals in our society, he moved to the Okanagan to work with high-risk youth and autistic young adults at ARC Programs for Youth. In 2016 Jonathan returned to Together We Can where he facilitated group therapy, provided individual counselling and case management for a regular case load of clients. In 2018 he launched Lost & Found Addiction Services as a way to make the most of his experiences and passion to help families and individuals recover.
This diverse range of experience, and his own personal recovery are Jonathan’s best assets when working with addicted individuals and their families.
